Good stories start out with……..
So there I was…standing in Legendz boxing gym in Norwalk, CA. Blood still pumping from rolling in the 5.0 at breakneck speeds across Los Angeles to make it on time to the Ryan Garcia media workout. I greet the usual media amigos and notice a lot of high dollar media came out to see Kid Flash work his charismatic magic while swooning the cameras and our daughters all in one flash of a smile.
Only the Flash never came. As I walked away dejected, I looked over and thought “Damn those camera crews aren’t cheap, organizing a moment to plead your case for being a star takes a lot of time and investment. Maybe he’s sick, or not feeling well or, maybe he just said screw them, I’m not going.”
Either way, unless it’s a big name opponent, there may not be so many cameras lined up next time to see the young phenom be too big for his own britches. People don’t like it when you waste their time and money, it’s a sign of immaturity.
