PEARSON UPSETS FALCAO

Pearson countered Falcao, setting traps the American was able to dictate the pace of the fight and control the ring during lulls in Falcaos output.

Erik Bazinyan 23-0 17KOs beat Mexican Alan Campa 17-5 11KOs to the punch over ten rounds to earn a unanimous decision on scores of 99-90 twice and 97-92. Bazinyan was the cleaner puncher landing first and last in most exchanges.

Alexis Salazar 21-3 8KOs ground his way to a unanimous decision victory over Abraham Cordero 13-4-2 7KOs. On scores of 80-72 twice and 79-73.

Opening the night was Garden City Kansas prospect Richard Acevedo 5-0 5KOs in a half round destruction of Mexico’s Mario Sosa 3-2. Acevedo floored Sosa stopping him at 2:05 to notch another win in the early stages of his development.

  1. The main event between Falcao and Pearson turned out to be much better than expected. Love me an upset with elated friends and family celebrating. I bet they are still at the Hard Rock having a great time. If you’re at the fights tonight and see the Pearson crew, give them a congrats.
