Jerwin Ancajas Wins Debut
Corpus Christi, TX 3 February, 2018- The inevitable comparisons flew during the ESPN broadcast for the Filipino fighter as Jerwin Ancajas 29-1-1 20KO’s successfully defended his 115lb Super Flyweight title against Israel Gonzalez 21-2 18KO’s of Mexico.
Dropping Gonzalez in the first and twice in the tenth rounds it was a one sided drubbing that showcased the rumored power and speed of the southpaw Ancajas. Manny Pacquiao, Ancajas is not. Only his first fight in the US Ancajas showed there is a potential for big fights given the success of Tom Loeffler and Teikens Superfly cards in Los Angeles being televised on HBO.
A unification between Ancajas and the winner of Sor Rungvisai vs Estrada would definitely pack The Forum in Los Angeles with blood thirsty fans sure to get a night of action.
