Las Vegas (June 11, 2020)- After losing his WBO Lightweight World Title to Isaac Dogboe, Jessie Magdaleno (27-1 18 KO’s) earn his third win in a row defeating Yenifel Vicente (36-4-2 28 KO’s) by disqualification due to low blows. Magdaleno scored knockdowns in the first and fifth round, but it was Vicente’s low blows that ended the fight. In the fourth round, Vicente landed a low blow followed by a punch that came after the referee had stopped the action and cost the Dominican fighter two points.Frustrated by Magdaleno’s movement, Vicente landed two more low blows and had lost a total of four points heading in to the final round. Magdaleno came out trash talking in the 10th round and was caught once again by a low blow that forced the referee to waive the fight off. Magdaleno is ranked #1 by the WBC and Ranked #4 by the WBO. In the post-fight interview, ESPN’s Bernardo Osuna asked Magdaleno if he preferred to fight WBC lightweight champion Garry Russell Jr. or WBO champion Shakur Stevenson,
“I want all of them. I don’t give a shit who it is. I want them all,” said Magdaleno.
Sanchez VS Mondragon Ends in Majority Draw
With an exciting first round, Mike Sanchez (6-0 2KO’s) fought to a majority draw against Eric Mondragon (3-0 2KO’s) in a four round lightweight fight. Sanchez started the round landing a left uppercut that floored Mondragon as he was lunging in. Mondragon was able to recover quickly and immediately returned the favor when he landed a right hand in an exchange that dropped Sanchez. The fight went to the score cards where one judge had it 39-37 for Mondragon and two judges had the fight 38-38.
Muratalla Gets First Round TKO
Preschool teacher Gabriel Muratalla (2-0 2KO’s) gets his third knockout in three fights by defeating Fernando Robles (2-2). Muratalla landed a perfect right hand that dropped Robles who got up stumbling and forced the referee to waive the fight off at 2:33 of the first round.
Lopez Earns Majority Decision in War.

After demonstrating his boxing abilities against WBO Oscar Valdez, Adam Lopez (13-2 6KO’s) found himself in a war against pressure fighter Luis Coria (12-2 7KO’s). The fight was a back and forth battle since the opening bell, but it was Lopez that walked away with the majority decision and became the new NABF Featherweight Champion with the score cards of 95-95 96-94 96-94.
