Danny “Swift” Garcia (35-2,21 KOs) shines with a seventh-round TKO victory over Adrian Granados (20-7-2, 14 KOs) Saturday night at the Dignity Health Sports Arena in Carson, CA for the WBC Silver Welterweight title.
Garcia sent Granados to the canvas twice in the second round. The first knockdown came from a solid counter left hook to the chin and the second came from a looping right hand over the top. In the third, Granados suffered a bloody nose.

Garcia put Granados in his place by walking him down and sending the 29-year old Mexican from Illinois, down to the canvas for the third time in the fifth round. Granados made plenty of mistakes
Referee Thomas Taylor intervened and stopped the fight at 1:33 in the seventh round after Garcia land a few one-twos upstairs while having Granados on the ropes. Garcia, 31, celebrated his win jumping on the ropes and shouting to the fans, “I’m back!”.
