Devin Haney Wins Shutout

On scores of 120-107 on all three scorecards unbeaten WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney 24-0 15KOs defeated Alfredo Santiago 12-1 4KOs.

“I dislocated my shoulder early in the fight and it slowed me down” Haney said during his post-fight interview with Chris Mannix. Haney was a clear class above Santiago and dropped him in the fourth with a sneaky right uppercut.

When asked about potentially facing Ryan Garcia Haney said I’d ;Ike to do it sooner than later, that fights going to be a big fight.”

Billy Joe Saunders Comes on Late

Billy Joe Saunders 29-0 14KOs elicited boos from the crowd until turning it on at 1:59 of the 11th round stopping Argentinian contender Marcelo Coceres 28-1-1 15KOs.

Saunders boxed using feints, educated distance and a sharp jab to eliminate virtually all of Coceres’s offense. Just as it appeared Saunders would cruise slowly to a points victory he turned it on and stopped Coceres.

“That performance was not enough to get the likes of Canelo and the other good fighters in the ring.” Saunders said during his post-fight interview. “I got the knockout and that was what saved the performance.” “I told myself after the ninth round, I’ve got to knock him out.”

White Chocolate Ababiy Wins DQ1

“White Chocolate” Nikita Ababiy 8-0 6KOs picked up a disqualification victory in the first round against opponent Jonathan Batista 19-16 12KOs.

White Chocolate landed a right hand that hit the top right of Batista’s head that was ruled a foul after a tremendous acting job by Batista. Referee Ray Corona called for the judges to dock a point from Ababiy and the action resumed after the doctor ruled Batista could continue.

Batista came out firing for the final seconds of the fight and continued after the bell. Referee Ray Corona jumped in between the two fighters but Batista threw another punch and Corona waived the fight disqualifying Batista.

YouTuber Wins Pro Debut, Proposes to Girlfriend

YouTuber Josh Brueckner 1-0 made his pro debut against Tyler Smith 0-1. In a sloppy fight between to inexperienced participants Brueckner pulled out a unanimous decision win on scores of 40-36.

In the most exciting blow of the fight Breuckners girlfriend accepted his marriage proposal, making 14 year old YouTube girls cry across America.

Diego Pacheco Rolls

18 year old Los Angeles native Diego Pacheco 7-0 6KOs kept the ball rolling on his young career with a knockout of Aaron Casper 5-4 4KOs at 2:58 in the fourth round.

Pacheco was a heralded amateur who has looked better each outing, has a boxer puncher style with one punch power early on.

Ronny Rios Wins, Ready for Bigger Fight

Santa Ana’s Ronny Rios 32-3 16KOs pounded Hugo Berrio over the course of four rounds until a straight right hand at 2:56 in the fourth put Berrio down.

Coming off a victory over previously unbeaten Diego De La Hoya this summer, Rios kept himself busy and added to his win column. “I rate myself a six or seven tonight, if I make some of the mistakes I made tonight against the top ranked guys it could’ve been different. I know what I need to work on.” Rios said during his post-fight interview with Todd Grisham.

Rashat Mati Wins

Opening the evenings bouts “The Albanian Bear” Rahsat Mati 5-0 3KO’s stopped opponent Cody Peterson in the second round.
