‘El Nino’ Gets TKO Victory

Indio, California (February 06, 2020)- In the main event of the night, Ricardo ‘El Nino’ Sandoval (17-1 12 KO’s) defeated Raymond ‘Tornado’ Tabugon (22-11-1 11KO’s) of the Philippines by TKO. 15 seconds into the second round, Sandoval connected a perfect counter left hook that dropped Tabugon. Finding the distance in the continuous rounds, Sandoval was able to unleash some brutal combinations to both the head and body of the Philippine. From the opening bell of the seventh round, Sandoval unleashed and connected huge combinations to Tabugon forcing the referee to jump in and stop the fight at the 1:43 mark of the round.   

Negrete Becomes WBA International Champion

In the co-main event Oscar ‘Jaguar’ Negrete (18-2-2 7KO’s) made his return after his epic trilogy with Joshua Franco to defeat Alberto ‘Impacto’ Melian (6-1 4KO’s) by unanimous decision to become the WBA international bantamweight champion. Both fighters came out strong and connected good combinations, but Negrete was able to push the action in the latter rounds and connect more power punches. Two judges had the bout 98-82 and the third judge had it 97-93.

Sulem Urbina Remains Perfect

Sulem Urbina (11-0 2 KO’s) defeated Noemi Bosques (12-14-3 2KO’s) by unanimous decision. In the fourth round, Urbina landed a huge left hook that almost floored Bosques. Urbina continued the pressure and was able to land 41 percent of her punches. All three judges had the bout 60-54.

Baez Wins Slug Fest

In the first fight of the night, Leonardo ‘Leon’ Baez (17-2 9KO’s) and Moises ‘Chucky’ Flores (25-2 17 KO’s) went the distance in a slug fest. Both fighters threw over a thousand punches combine through just eight rounds, but it was Baez that landed the most effective punches and earned a unanimous decision. All three judges had the fight 80-72.
