New York, NY December 14th, 2019- Terrance Crawford keeps winning. The former undisputed 140lb. champion and current undefeated pound for pound champion at 147 dismantled and destroyed Egidijus “Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas in nine rounds.
Kavaliauskas 21-1-1 17KOs had early success landing a right hand in the second dropping Crawford. The knockdown was ruled a slip and Crawford began to take the fight over in the southpaw stance.
Crawford switched to Orthodox after the seventh round and dropped Kavaliauskas three times en-route to a knockout victory.

“I thought I had to entertain ya’ll for a little bit. He’s a
strong fighter, durable, and I thought I’d give the crowd something to cheer
for,” Crawford said. “I wasn’t hurt at all. I got up and went
straight to him. I wasn’t hurt by no means. I walked through everything he
threw all night.
“I’m not ducking anyone on the PBC side or Top Rank platform. I want to
fight all the top guys.”
Crawford remains atop the welterweight heap in virtually all pound for pound rankings. Following his win retired welterweight champion Tim Bradley slammed Premiere Boxing Champions (PBC) welterweights for avoiding Crawford calling them “cowards”.
Sunday morning on Inside PBC Boxing former champion Shawn Porter said he would only be willing to face Crawford when he and Crawford decided. Citing a friendship, he said “The only ones who will make that decision is me and him, not Top Rank and not the PBC.”
Errol Spence’s absence following an auto accident that left him hospitalized after his bout with Shawn Porter in late September has put any rumors or plans of an eventual Crawford vs Spence showdown on hold. Crawford vs Spence could stand to be the biggest fight in the sport pitting to American welterweights against each other in their prime.
No official statements or reliable rumors have been made or suggest a return date for Spence.
